What are all teacher's doing this time of year? Counting down the days until Spring Break of course! Working full time this year has made me especially appreciative of my holiday breaks (YES... for teacher's Spring Break is an official "holiday"). Anywhoo's...until last week we didn't have anything planned and I was feeling super bummed. A week off is great, however sitting in rainy, overcast O-town wasn't exactly how I wanted to spend my glorious school free week.
So I started doing some research and narrowed my plans down to fitting into one category: Drivable. Husband can't go and I'm sooooo not brave enough to fly with the kid's by myself. It took an act of God for Husband and I to get them and all our crap to Disneyland last Spring. I can't imagine attempting all that luggage, stroller, suitcase fiasco on my own...that doesn't sound like fun at all.
So once I knew we were staying within a manageable car's drive I began researching further. Now you must remember that we live in BFE so my children are seasoned car travelers. To get anywhere we must travel at least 2hrs...so I thought a driving distance of 8hrs would be my limit. Then I remembered an article I had caught in People a while back for a resort in Vancouver Island, B.C. owned by Jason Priestly (Yes, 90210). I had bookmarked the website after I'd read the article because it looked so cool but hadn't given it a thought since.
So a few phone calls later using my best Canadian dialect, "Aboot how much for a week's stay eh?" and we are set for a week at The Terrace Beach Resort in Ucluelet, B.C.
Our Journey will take us over The North Cross State Highway, crossing into B.C. at Blaine, staying 1 night in Vancouver before catching the ferry to Vancouver Island. Once we are there it is a 2hr drive to Ucluelet which sits on the Pacific.
The icing on the cake would be if Jason P. happened to be in town and I could gush over my years of devotion to Brandon Walsh and the gang from West Beverly. I'm not expecting that to happen, but I am thinking this is going to be a super fun trip!

Looks fantastic! Hope you guys have a wonderful time.
