Finny's 5th birthday was right before we left for Maui, so I thought it appropriate that we have a Hawaiian theme...6 of her little buddies eating lunch, getting pedi's, and playing a few games. Super easy, cute, and special because this was her first bday at home...we've celebrated the last 4 birthday's during our annual trip to Cannon Beach. Husband took the boy's to Yakima for the day to watch one of his high school players in the All State game, so it was just us girl's...a nice treat in a very boy-filled house!
My sweet girl!
We are so lucky to have such an amazing daughter! She's gentle yet tough, and always has a smile for her mama!
Let's see....Hawaii...amaze! It was so fun to take all three kidlet's there and they blew us away with their swimming! See, we are inland folks who don't take too kindly to the ocean...sigh...or that is what husband would say if you asked him...but in reality our kiddo's spend a good two weeks every summer in Cannon Beach right on the ocean, however Maui ocean vs. Cannon Beach ocean..two very different things!
They weren't quite sure about the water initially, but after a few toe dips they were hooked! The next 8 days we spent the mornings at the beach, right across the street from our condo, then we'd walk back and they would swim in the pool. We took a few adventures around the island, but overall we just totally chillaxed and it was super!
"Boobie Shells!" accorrding to Finny
We didn't see much of TJ as this was how he spent a good portion of his time!
Sand Monster! Beau had sand in places...you aren't suppose to have sand!
Coconuts fresh off a tree from a local groundskeeper! Super nice of him to give one to each kid!
Playing before dinner
We'd walk across the street and watch the sunset each night...beautiful!
Sweet hat TJ! That was fun packing home....
Night swimming with Scuba Steve
Beau really got the hang of boogie boarding...fearless!
The boy's enjoying the waves
Luau night
This picture cracks me up because Beau found this really old life vest at the lake house and thought it was the coolest thing he'd ever seen! Power Rangers are apparently timeless!
TJ and Coley had many jumping contests...if the Olympics had "Belly Flopping" these two would be Gold Medal Champions!
Beau, Paityn, and Coley preparing for tubing mania!
Dinner time with three families and 8 kid's is always fun!
Now time to play cards!
Husband #1 napping..sat around the campfire too long and drank too much!
Repeat with Husband #2
This is what the kid's did for most of each day
I have been wearing sunscreen...I PROMISE!
TJ jumping off the neighbors dock
And again...nice form!
Hit it Beau!
To be continued....
