This is the first year that TJ can officially be on the track and field team! He's been looking forward to this since he was little because he's been going to track practice and meets with Husband for years! He's probably the only kid I know who practices shot put and hammer throw at home. He just really enjoys it and I think it's great. It's up to him how hard he wants to work and how dedicated he wants to be. It has been a bit of a different experience for me as a spectator because track meets are long with a lot of waiting around. It will be nice when TJ is in HS and on his dad's track team... In the meantime Husband won't be able to go to any of the meets because it conflicts with his HS team.
Beau and Finley are playing on the coolest baseball team in town "Just Chillen." I purposefully put Finley on the baseball team with her brother to maintain my mental sanity of not having 3 kids doing 3 different sports. Finley handles being the only girl with such ease... She clearly has older brothers! The team is comprised of the nicest kids and really great coaches. They are supportive and focused on good sportsmanship and being positive. Finley is pretty clueless of most baseball rules and we have some good chuckles watching all the fun they have. It is also so touching to see Beau be proud and helpful to his sister. He watches over her so closely and always is the first one to tell her good job or help her do something. Which is very nice because most of the time at home he terrorizes her.
Their uniforms aren't in yet, so they've been wearing some super awesome mesh basketball jerseys Husband had.
