Today would have been Husbands Mom's 63rd birthday. May Day is an appropriate birthday for Georgia because she loved flowers and had a beautiful yard that was always blooming and colorful.
We try very hard to keep her memory alive, this is especially important for Beau and Finley who weren't born when she died. Yesterday Beau came home from school and said the librarian {who we love and who worked who Georgia for years} told him he had selected one of her favorite books to check out! She then told Beau a cute story about his Grandma that made him laugh. The school library where the little kids go has an entire section of Grandma Georgia books that she reads frequently to all the classes. Pretty special.
Every Sunday at Mass we run into this lady who knew Georgia forever. She always looks at Finny and says..."Those eyes...those eyes! She has Georgia's eyes!" We'll I think she has Husbands eyes...but we know who gave them to him!
Tonight we put flowers in her grave and paid tribute to this special lady. I know she's watching over us and that always makes us feel good!
